Anime Appearance

Clair made her first debut in the original Pokémon Series during the fifth season. She later reappeared in the Best Wishes series. Unlike in the games, Lance is not her cousin, and instead the two trained with each other before he joined the Elite Four.

Master Quest Series

Ash and the gang first met Clair when the discovered a Dratini and Gyarados in a river near Blackthron City, the two belonging to Clair. Team Rocket eventually tries to kidnap the Dratini, and Clair chased after them. After managing to escape from Team Rocket, an electric shock began to head towards Dratini, to which Clair jumped in the way to protect her Pokémon. Due to Clair's devotion towards her Pokémon, Dratini evolved into a Dragonair and managed to stop Team Rocket.

After the issue with Team Rocket was over, Clair accepted Ash's challenged for the Rising Badge. During the battle, Team Rocket stole the Dragon Fang. In an attempt to retrieve it again, Ash, Clair and Team Rocket all ended up in the Dragon Holy Land, where Team Rocket tricked a Dragonite into helping them. Luckily, Liza and Ash's Charizard arrived to help save the day. Ash's Charizard then helped him earn him his final Johto League Badge by defeating Clair's Dragonair.

Best Wishes Series

Clair reappeared later in the Anime Series, when she bumped into Ash and the gang in Cave Island, as she was in the middle of searching for a shiny Druddigon. She appeared one last time in a later episode called A Pokémon of a Different Color! (episode BW136), when she bumped into Iris while she was in the Johto region.

Manga Appearance

Clair makes an appearance in the Gold, Silver & Crystal chapter of the Pokémon Adventure manga, as well as the SoulSilver & HeartGold chapter.
